Changes some log message descriptions and some
function arguments and some output.

(+x) mode bit when regenerated, and tests fail due to it.

1. Fix minor gremlins in unit test and main program
2. Update to rename b10-dbutil process (and so avoid an error
from the process_rename_test check).
