[master] reorder linking of libutil · af97b1eb
      Jeremy C. Reed authored
This fixes problem seen when trying to build on FreeBSD
when the package is already installed (making it hard to upgrade).
I tested this on CentOS system too.
I don't like just re-ordering this but this is a quick hack for the problem.
(Another workaround would be to bump the shared library version
but that doesn't work due to the library has a name conflict with
library in base system. These two points will be resolved later.)

[1207] [master] version the log library · 34ed44e2
      Jeremy C. Reed authored
This is to fix the ongoing problem seen on a builder:

      /libexec/ld-elf.so.1: /usr/home/jreed/builder/work/BIND10-cppcheck/20120516030045-FreeBSD8-amd64-GCC/build/src/lib/datasrc/tests/.libs/run_unittests: Undefined symbol "_ZN3isc3log23checkExcessPlaceholdersEPSsj"

It was matching the library in the base system instead.

This was discussed on jabber some weeks ago.

      [trac976] Add expandLoggerName function · e006dc3e
      Stephen Morris authored
Added to root_logger_name.* which was renamed to the more general
logger_name.*. Updated files to cope with revised name. Also
uncommented some unit tests that must have been commented out
from the Makefile.am when chasing a problem as some point in the past.

      [trac555] Checkpoint · cfa31a99
      Stephen Morris authored
Added basic logger manager and its implementation, plus an untested
console appender. Also modified logger_support_test to use that
appender and have got part way through creating a file logger test.

      [trac899] Implemented debug levels · 192aefd9
      Stephen Morris authored
Debug logging levels implemented as new log4cplus levels. With
this change, most of the tests pass. The ones that fail are caused
by the different form of output.

The code compilers and produces basic output. Still to be done is
      1) Add idea of debug levels.
      2) Modify tests to copy with new format output.

      [trac900] Basic code changes · 8bfccfb1
      Stephen Morris authored
Basic changes to get the code to read the new-style message files.
In addition, a suggestion made on the bind10-dev list - to add the
prefix to the symbols in the symbol dictionary (and not just to the
C++ symbols) has been implemented. (This minimises the chances of
polluting symbol namespace.) As a result, multiple $PREFIX directives
      can be supported.
