Delete build instructions for NextStep and other obsolete systems

I know this is a nit, but it bugs me to see NextStep and Ultrix and so on in the readme. If it is ok with you Thomas, let me know and I will delete the offending bits. (Ideally, we would also add a platforms.md and list the platforms we test on and know it works on there.)
