As noted in Support ticket #15209, it would be very useful and helpful to be able to convert HEX to ASCII when logging. For example, what is being output now is:

Address: 192.168.2.10 has been renewed for 0 hrs 10 mins 0 secs to a device with hardware address: hwtype=1 f4:f2:6d:79:cb:81, client-id: 01:f4:f2:6d:79:cb:81 connected via relay at address: 192.168.3.1, identified by circuit-id: 45:53:43:44:20:65:74:68:20:31:37:2f:33:2f:32:38:2f:31:2f:31

Being able to dissect and reformat the HEX of the circuit-id would be especially helpful.

We understand that similar code already exists for reformatting HEX to ASCII in the RADIUS and flex-id hooks, hence Engineering suggested that we open this feature request.
