actually just the first part of it

apparently these weren't passed on to the recursivequery class
(anymore?), resulting in the use of hardcoded defaults -1 and 0. This
one-line change fixes that, acked by Michal on jabber.

This reverts commit a669db43.

The reverted commit was introduced due to misoperation possibly with
git-new-workdir, and actually reverted previous changes made on master.
By reverting it we now recover these lost changes.

it involves refactoring of the AuthSrv class: It now internally constructs
IOService; the timer is also constructed internally, using the IOService
object.

other tests.

and removed an unused variable "PROGRAM"

Most obvious change is for the command "Stats show", where the blob of stats data is now printed ina more readable fashion.
Also removed the print of 'send the command' line, and empty results are not printed at all

should be quite trivial and is related to buildbot failure, so will merge skipping review.

Copy the actual rcode from the response into our answer (it always set
NOERROR, so this should also work for other rcodes)

does anything if setup has not been called yet, and they are both only
called when relevant configuration changes are seen (there is always at
least one 'configuration change', the initial setup)

r4165 commit lost some changes from the r4133 commit.
I manually put these back in.

make value optional for 'config add <list>'; add the default value that is specified in the spec file in that case
always show map contents for 'config show <map>', not just the map name
