Set agent address when using dhcp-relay.
name: add agent-address option
about: set the agent-address when using dhcp-relay
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When you have two IP-addresses on an interface, on different subnets, but only want the relay-agent to use a specific address in the relay-agent-ip-address
field. The agent uses the "wrong" agent address, and no such subnet scope is configured on the dhcp-server. Meaning the dhcp-server will not find a valid scope to response to.
I am using VyOS routers which uses isc-project.
One such situation is when using VRRP, and having the VIP in another subnet to save IP-addresses. Also, when using non-rfc3768-compliant setup, the VIP is on the same interface as the physical IP.
Describe the solution you'd like An option that could specify the agent-address instead of/or the agent-interface.
Describe alternatives you've considered I have found no solutions.
