Fails to allocate IP for a DHCP discover request even when pool is not full but DHCP Request(renewal) succeeds
I have a subnet with a pool of 107 IP addresses, out of which 94 IPs are currently leased. I'm encountering errors in the Kea DHCP log when a new device connects to the network and sends a DHCP DISCOVER message. The errors mentioned are ALLOC_ENGINE_V4_ALLOC_FAIL and ALLOC_ENGINE_V4_ALLOC_FAIL_CLASSES .In this specific subnet, the allocation fails with the error message 'Failed to allocate an IPv4 address for the client with classes - failed 107 attempts.' [ 107 is the total number of available IPs in the subnet]
When DHCP request message is received for the subnet, DHCP Allocation succeeds . When the same client connects to any other subnet, an IP address is successfully leased.
I'm using Kea version 2.0.1. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or guidance on how to debug and resolve this issue."
