# Kea Client Requirements
# Goal
This page was created as part of a hackathon in Prague during IETF'99. This is very early version and it will change significantly.

As of March 2023, Kea covers only the DHCP server functionality and no client, relay, or requestor roles. Ultimately, we would like Kea to cover all of those to be able to claim to be a reference implementation. Sadly, there is no funding available for the client implementation. Please let us know if you're willing to participate in funding the development of this software.
